Description:

Glacier Hills Senior Living Community is seeking a Director of Nursing who is passionate about providing excellent care to our residents while creating a fun and rewarding work environment for our staff. As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee the nursing staff, ensuring that our residents receive the highest quality of care while also creating an atmosphere that fosters job satisfaction and personal growth.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing feedback and coaching to support their professional development and growth.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures that ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and promote best practices in nursing.
  • Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed, and our residents receive timely and efficient care.
  • Create a positive work environment that fosters job satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Work with the Executive Director to manage the nursing department's budget, ensuring that we are operating efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our residents receive the best possible care, including coordinating with the activities department to provide fun and engaging activities for our residents.
  • Supervise the nursing staff, providing direction and support to ensure that all residents receive high-quality care.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting.
  • Ability to create a positive work environment and foster teamwork.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively to overcome challenges.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of nursing best practices, regulations, and standards of care.
  • Comfortable using technology to manage schedules and maintain records.
  • Active RN license in the state of Michigan.
