We are seeking a visionary and strategic-minded Director of National Sales to lead our efforts in expanding our cannabis genetics portfolio and establishing satellite laboratories across the United States. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company by focusing on licensing a deep menu of genetics and pioneering the establishment of satellite laboratories to further our presence and innovation in the industry.


The position is 100% remote!


20-50% travel in US

Responsibilities


  • Foster and nurture relationships with key industry stakeholders, including regulators, research institutions, and industry associations.
  • Negotiate and execute licensing agreements with potential customers and facilities across the US
  • Team Leadership
  • Conduct financial analysis and due diligence for potential partnerships and laboratory projects.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure adherence to regulations and intellectual property rights.
  • Lead efforts to expand our presence across the US by strategically targeting new territories for genetics licensing and laboratory establishment.
  • Develop and execute market entry plans, considering regulatory requirements and local market dynamics.
  • Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing team focused on corporate development, genetics, and laboratory operations.
  • Work with the operations team for a timely and effective handover once contracts have been signed.
  • Strategic Licensing
  • Identify strategic partners and companies to achieve expansion and revenue goals.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Genetics Portfolio Management
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations for executive management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cultivation and R&D teams to ensure optimal genetics development and cultivation practices.
  • Satellite Laboratories Establishment
  • Market Expansion
  • Collaborative Partnerships
  • Identify and evaluate potential partnerships and licensing opportunities to expand our cannabis genetics portfolio.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for the establishment of satellite laboratories within customer facilities across the US.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful execution of partnerships and laboratory operations.
  • Continuously assess market trends, customer preferences, and emerging genetics to enhance our offerings.


Qualifications


  • Experience in project management and laboratory operations is a plus.
  • Sales in Large Scale Cannabis commercial grows and or MSOs
  • Extensive experience in corporate development, business development, or strategic partnerships within the cannabis industry.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and seize market opportunities.
  • Ability to travel as required for partnerships, laboratory site visits, and industry events. (20-50% nationally)
  • Proven track record of successful negotiations and deal closures.
