T he Director of Learning Programs will report directly to the Kohler Head of Talent and will have responsibility for designing and implementing the Learning strategy across Kohler. As a key leader of Kohler Talent Academy, the Director of Learning Programs will ensure that our programs and learning strategy, processes, practices and curriculum are in alignment with the strategic business and organizational capability needs of the company.
T his critical leader for the enterprise will serve as the functional learning expert for Kohler. He or she will be charged with strengthening both the cultural, and business competencies of all associates that pass through our programs yearly. This leader will represent Kohler both internally and externally and will benchmark learning and development “best practices” to identify investment needs, measurement processes and alternate methods of delivery in the spirit of continuous improvement.
Primary Accountabilities
The successful candidate will strategically partner with Talent team members, executives, line managers and HRBPs to drive a comprehensive Learning strategy by developing programs and deliverables that will address the needs of our diverse and global business. Overall, primary accountabilities include:
  • Communicate a compelling overall plan the next five years of Learning design throughout the organization to ensure support and buy-in.
  • Develop and manage Learning strategy initiatives throughout the organization.
  • Partner with regional talent managers to identify and align methodologies and processes for talent in all regions globally.
  • Lead a team to design and embed Learning programs throughout the organization.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by understanding the key business and resource drivers and then leveraging organization interventions using an extensive range of tools and techniques (coaching, team building conflict management, group problem solving, blended learning and strategic planning).
  • Develop and lead strategy and initiatives to build critical enterprise capabilities including inclusion, innovation and delivering with impact.
  • Lead HCM, LMS investigation and path towards launch in 2025.
  • Partner with Human Resources teams in across the organization to drive a unified Learning delivery plan tied to our company objectives.
Skills/Requirements
  • Experience leading developing and implementing learning interventions tied to a major HCM for large complex organizations.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in Human Resources in a diverse global organization with a focus on the areas of Learning and Organization Development.
  • Masters degree in Organization Development, Industrial Psychology,Development or related field of Human Resources. Masters in Business Administration is also acceptable.
  • Proven success in developing and aligning with Human Resources function, capabilities and initiatives across different cultures, geographies and operating environments.
  • Proven thought in the learning function on a global basis including but not limited to strategy, design, deployment and evaluation.
  • This role will be required to be in office frequently to meet with customers and business leaders therefore proximity to Kohler, Wisconsin is important.
  • Specific experience in leading complex global organizational development projects with an emphasis on change / transformation, employee engagement initiatives and building strategic capabilities.
  • Impeccable project management skills and the ability to build relationships across Kohler as well as with external partners and vendors around the globe.
  • Demonstrated success operating in a matrixed environment is critical.
