Koch Agronomic Services is seeking a Director of Innovation Portfolio to create and implement strategic business and marketing plans to seize short- and long-term unmet market opportunities to create a competitive advantage and greater value for the company and their customers.


Our Team


The Innovation Portfolio Director will report to the Vice President of Innovation and Business Development and role is based at the headquarters in Wichita, KS with travel of at least 30%.


What You Will Do


  • Collaborate with commercial and product development teams to translate innovative agronomic products and services into commercially viable solutions
  • Foster strategic partnerships with world-class research institutions and industry organizations to leverage external expertise and promote knowledge exchange
  • Understand and stay abreast of global regulations and policies related to agriculture and sustainability, and integrate them into our innovation framework
  • Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and project timelines to ensure efficient execution and timely delivery of innovation projects.
  • Draft, socialize, and implement a global portfolio expansion strategy resulting in measurable expansion of our business and portfolio
  • Identify and originate innovation and business development opportunities leveraging internal and external stakeholders and knowledge systems or networks


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)


  • Experience creating and managing an annual budget in support of 5-year proforma
  • Experience leading, influencing, building relationships, and mentoring across functions at all levels of the organization, internal and external
  • 5-years or more of experience among cross-functional teams including Legal, Regulatory, Product Development, Research, Formulations, Field Development, Marketing, Communication, and Sales
  • 10-years or more of manufacturing experience in the agriculture markets with positions held in Marketing, Product Development/Management or Business Development
  • 5-years or more of global experience specializing in the development and commercialization of agricultural crop input technologies (i.e., fertilizers, pesticides, biologicals)
  • Experience developing market, needs assessments (i.e. PESTLE, Trends, Drivers, SWOT, GAP) and creating strategic marketing plans (i.e. Vision, Strategy, Objectives, Tactics, Execution)


What Will Put You Ahead


  • Professional global experience in one or more major global crop production regions (NA, LATAM, EMEA, ASIA)
