Director Of Information Technology

JOB SUMMARY:

BELL is looking for an IT Director to join their team in the Brentwood, TN office location. This role directs and coordinates all company information systems including application software, networks and hardware operation. Develops plans to meet the company's management information system requirements, assures effective system design and implementation and assists senior management in establishing priorities in the development, modification and installation of systems and services.

RESPONSIBLITIES:

• Preparation of and accountability for annual IT budget to leverage BELL’s investment in technology.
• Develops configuration and performance standards for network, ensuring the network is up and running at all times with appropriate back-up measures. Implements and monitors controls to ensure standard objectives are met and manages, implements, and maintains disaster recovery systems.
• Develops and implements effective, cost optimized support model (L1-2-3) for all Saas Platforms; clearly defines roles and scopes for internal teams, external vendors, and MSP; defines metrics, SLAs and operational cadence to manage outcomes.
• Manages, implements, and maintains all information technology systems across the organization, including at the corporate office, properties across our portfolio, and active construction sites, and coordinates documentation of procedures, establishes deadlines, and determines overall accountability.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
• Oversees IT operations, including helpdesk, infrastructure, and applications.
• Collaborates with functional business leaders, process owners, and internal teams to ensure technology solutions are aligned with business outcomes.
• Designs, implements, and maintains IT policies and procedures.
• Responsible for personnel functions such as selection, hiring, developing and training of new and existing employees, employee review and development planning, and salary administration.
• Manages and maintains full inventory for all technology hardware and software.
• Develops short- and long-term technology strategies to create operational efficiencies across the organization.
• Oversees all technology vendor and service provider contracts (i.e., MSP, large printers, etc.).
• Analyzes business needs and identifies issues that impede success within IT department and end-users, working with leadership to develop plans to resolve issues.
• Maintains a stable computing environment for employees, prioritizing support for end users and focusing on their ability to perform their duties.
• Understands industry technologies/trends and makes appropriate recommendations for BELL.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum required – Ten (10) years’ experience in Information Technology; Five (5) years’ experience managing a team.
• Prior Construction Industry experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum required – Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Management, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

• Connectwise screenconnect remote desktop tool
• Basic knowledge of Linux server administration preferred
• Experience with SCCM for OSD, Application Deployment, and patch management preferred
• Watchguard Firewalls
• Strong communication and presentation skills at all levels of the organization.
• Strong management skills, including experience leading external vendor partners and matrixed IT organizations for fully coordinated systems implementation/delivery.
• Windows server management, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Active Directory management including group policy configuration
• Meraki network equipment configuration
• Strong organizational, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• IPsec site to site VPN tunnels
• VMWare cluster management, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
• Ability to develop and manage IT resources, budgets, and ROI analysis.
• Proficient in evaluating, establishing relationships and defining/executing contracts with software vendors and IT contractors – RFP’s, MSAs, SOWs with SLAs, license agreements, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with business process owners on continuous process improvement and the application of technology solutions.
• Network topology and routing configuration, including VLAN configuration and use
• Experience with Veeam Backup and Replication preferred
• Previous experience using, or knowledge of, Viewpoint preferred.
• Experience delivering and/or providing support for SaaS or hosted enterprise application suites – examples, Salesforce, DocuSign, ERP and/or BI platforms, etc.
• Well-rounded knowledge of IT infrastructure, including the following:
  • Network topology and routing configuration, including VLAN configuration and use
  • IPsec site to site VPN tunnels
  • Watchguard Firewalls
  • Connectwise screenconnect remote desktop tool
  • VMWare cluster management, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Windows server management, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance
  • Active Directory management including group policy configuration
  • Meraki network equipment configuration
  • Basic knowledge of Linux server administration preferred

• Working knowledge of modern day IT systems implementation methodologies and frameworks – DevOps delivery, Agile framework, etc.
