This position is hybrid 2x a week within a commutable distance to our Jersey City, NJ location.
The past couple of years have been transformative for the Verisk brand, as the company returned to its roots as a data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry and moved to a masterbrand architecture. The Director of Communications will help take that work to the next level by creating numerous PR opportunities that drive reputation and business results.
The ideal candidate is exceptional at media relations and storytelling, possesses notable writing skills, is a strong program manager, fluency in social and digital media, and experienced and passionate about creating integrated communications campaigns.
Responsibilities
  • Design modern measurement approach for integrated communications campaigns and efforts and articulate the impact within the organization to create followers/supporters.
  • Develop innovative ideas, integrated communications strategies and campaigns with the goal of enhancing Verisk’s reputation with key stakeholders and position the company’s thought leaders as experts in mainstream business media.
  • Partner with business and marketing leadership as well as cross-functional teams on growth initiatives.
  • Write and edit press releases and other communications materials including talking points, press statements, award submissions, successful pitches, and briefing materials.
  • Advocate on behalf of the company across all communications channels and vehicles.
  • Lead a winning public relations team in planning, leading and/or advising external communications and events in support of global business growth.
The position reports to the vice president of Corporate Communications.
