We need one thing: You!

As Director of Data Science and member of the leadership team, you will grow Truum’s data capabilities to the highest level. As an algorithmic thought leader, you will identify key strategic opportunities and product improvements, helping to solidify and accelerate Truum’s leading position in its field.
With responsibility for building and scaling our data intelligence, you will own the foundation for data, leading our data science team in implementing, optimizing, and further experimenting with Truum’s algorithms. You will also play an active part in defining and delivering on Truum’s overall strategy.
Responsibilities

• Grow our data team & culture: grow a customer obsessed data team which is technically fearless and invents on behalf of customers.
• Drive technology leverage: build modular algorithmic components and simplify technology footprint across diverse set of data analysis modules to create leverage and accelerate time to market.
• Influence business strategy: deepen business fluency by listening to customers and stakeholders, understanding critical business metrics, and influence overall product direction and strategy.
• Scale Truum’s data capabilities: architecture, performance, scalability, agility. In essence, put our core algorithms on steroids.
• Innovate: pioneer new ideas for data unification, automation and extending the reach of our data analysis capabilities.

Qualifications

• Technical depth rooted in hands-on experience across the breadth of modern algorithmic domains (NLP, computer vision, deep learning, etc.).
• Extensive experience in the design, development, and delivery of data analysis components with a massive customer base.
• Excellent decision-making skills with the ability to balance conflicting interests in a complex and fast-paced environment.
• 10+ years of professional experience with a proven track record of building algorithmic solutions widely used in consumer products.
• Thorough understanding of data structures and algorithms, distributed technologies, public cloud technologies
• Strong track record in a strategic technical leadership role with large-scale data projects.
• A clear vision for architecture and exceptional communication skills to articulate it to all levels of stakeholders.

Additional Information
We would like to hear from candidates based on the east coast of the US or in Europe. Relocation will not be necessary for this position.
US Salary $118,000 to $180,000 depending on experience
Annual Incentive Plan: You will be eligible to participate in the Company’s Annual Incentive Program and receive an bonus (percent varies based on business/company metrics). Additional information will be provided during offer presentation.
