Purpose

We are looking to hire a talented and capable Director of Creative Services in corporate office in Utah. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing, the Director is responsible for leading an in-house full service creative team, establishing the creative vision, and developing high quality and engaging creative solutions that elevate the brand across all formats and channels.


This is an office based, full-time position in the greater Salt Lake City area.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead an in-house creative team of photographers, videographers, graphic designers, and a retail marketing assistant to produce creative assets, such as digital contents (web and social), product packaging, retailer marketing materials, and other marketing contents as requested.
  • Stay current with the latest industry trend and continue to look for ways to elevate the brand and drive continuous improvement of creative ideas, processes, and operations.
  • Manage, motivate, and foster a continuous learning and development environment within the creative team.
  • Collaborate closely with a cross functional team of marketing, product development, industrial engineering, and sales to translate business requests into creative solutions aligned with the company’s brand strategy and business priorities.
  • Lead the creative team to produce highly engaging storytelling content that showcases brand as a consumer centric lifestyle brand.
  • Delegate, manage and prioritize projects and resources to ensure timely work delivery within designated budget.
  • Manage department budget and build strong relationships with external vendors, agencies, and freelancers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of outsourced services.
  • Partnering closely with the SVP of Marketing, establish the creative direction, guidelines and processes aligned with the company’s marketing strategies and business goals.
  • Communicate regularly with the team to provide feedback and guidance.
  • Develop and communicate project timelines, deliverables, and progress to the team regularly.
  • Serve as the internal creative expert to consult and translate business concepts and marketing briefs into strategic creative concept with design and aesthetic quality.


Education and Qualifications

  • Ability to excel in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities to meet project deadlines.
  • Strong passion for the brand & product
  • Subject matter expert on creating highly engaging and appealing videography and photography, both task oriented and highly creative.
  • Deep understanding of branding, creative storytelling, and design aesthetics with proven track record across photography, videography, and graphic design across all channels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in leading, developing and inspiring a creative team with various personalities and backgrounds.
  • University degree in relevant field or equivalent proven experience
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to partner with a cross-functional team across technical and commercial.
  • Proven track record of translating brand strategies and business objectives into compelling creative visions and marketing assets.
  • 7+ years of proven experience in a creative leadership role within the consumer sector, in-house experience required, food related, and food-styling experience strongly preferred.
