Director Of Construction Services

We are looking for an experienced Director of Construction Services to help us plan and supervise construction of over 1,300 homes annually. An excellent Director of Construction Services must be well-versed in production home building and be able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational and leadership skills.
Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with code, regulatory requirements and company quality standards
• Oversee safety and safety training
• Technical oversight of construction activities ensuring consistent execution, efficient processes and optimum cost effectiveness
• Hire contractors and staff and allocate responsibilities
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Weekly production meetings with construction managers
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Coordinate starts with a goal of even flow construction and release dates
• Control the permitting, starts, and scheduling

Requirements
Ability to plan and prioritize while focusing on detail orientation and effective time management
Ability to manage individuals and groups
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
