Director Of Cloud/Infrastructure

Position: Head of Cloud/Infrastructure

Our client, a prominent company in the train industry, is currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Cloud/Infrastructure on a contract-to-hire basis with the intent to bring you on as a full-time employee. This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing cloud and infrastructure operations. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in FortiGate firewalls, fortianalyzer and AWS migration combined with strong leadership capabilities.

Job Details

• On-Site: 4-5 days a week
• Position: Head of Cloud/Infrastructure
• Hourly Rate: $80-90/hour

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in cloud and infrastructure design, construction, and maintenance.
• Manage and maintain FortiGate firewalls and fortianalyzer to ensure network security and monitoring.
• Possess certifications such as MS3, Cisco CCIE, and Cisco Meraki to demonstrate technical proficiency.
• Develop and execute strategies for continuous improvement, scalability, and cost optimization.
• Leverage 15 years of experience to make informed decisions and provide guidance on technology solutions.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, mentoring and leading the infrastructure team.
• Lead and oversee cloud and infrastructure operations, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Drive the AWS migration strategy and implementation, optimizing cloud resources and ensuring seamless integration.
• Collaborate with the construction and design teams to align infrastructure needs with project requirements.

Requirements

• Proficiency in MS3, Cisco CCIE, and Cisco Meraki.
• Extensive experience with construction and design teams, providing infrastructure solutions.
• Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in cloud and infrastructure management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Expertise in FortiGate firewalls and fortianalyzer.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to lead and inspire a team.
• Strong background in AWS migration and cloud infrastructure.
