The Director of Budgeting & Forecasting is responsible for building and maintaining the Company’s financial budget, near term forecasting and 5-year long range plans by working with the Business Insights FP&A teams and key business leaders in the organization. This position will play a key role in maintaining the annual operating plans and surfacing insights into actual performance against those plans. The role will require partnership with leaders across the entire organization to incorporate key operating trends and expectations of the business leadership, including impacts of initiatives, investments and projects, requiring strong communication skills and attention to detail.

As the Director of Budgeting & Forecasting, you will:

• Perform ad-hoc analysis as required to support key initiatives, establish business strategies and special projects
• Assist in preparation of monthly financial summaries and key performance indicators for business and executive leadership, the board of directors and external stakeholders
• Maintain, improve and create financial models/analysis to analyze results and trends
• Prepare monthly financial reports for distribution to all levels of the organization with the utmost attention to detail and comprehensive understanding of the results being reported
• Track industry trends and peer competitive performance
• Conduct financial statement analysis with focus on operational performance trends within the P&L as well as the Balance Sheet and Cash Flow Statement
• Partner with other functions within the organization to analyze business needs and model business cases / ROIs, including but not limited to real estate, marketing, operational initiatives, manufacturing facility equipment purchases, technology implementations, etc.
• Prepare the annual operating plan (budget) and periodic operating forecasts, including revenue and margin, operating expense and SG&A expense

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

• Solid understanding of financial statement analysis, statistical analysis, corporate finance and financial modeling
• Knowledge of General Ledger (GL) bookkeeping and accounting principles and practices
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• 5+ years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, including budgeting and forecasting

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or related field
• Experience with ERPs and Financial planning software (Workday FINS & HCM and Adaptive Insights Planning preferred)
• Experience with financial technology system implementation and optimization
• Restaurant or multi-unit retail industry experience
• Experience with Tableau, Power BI or other data visualization technology tools
