Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Sr Director of Analytics and Enterprise Partnerships, the Director of Admissions role is an administrative and leadership role overseeing the day to day operations of the bootcamp admissions department, and the overarching admissions strategy. This role requires an administrator-level understanding of the student lifecycle, the systems and tools used for managing applicant pipelines, detailed knowledge of HackBright and Devmountain product offerings, and a detailed understanding of objectives and processes related to the preparation and launch of b2b partner-sponsored bootcamp cohorts. The ideal candidate will bring self motivation, organization, strategic thinking, managerial skills, and a solution-oriented mindset. This person will be part of and supporting an admissions department that is a shared-services team for both Devmountain and Hackbright Academy.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Leading admissions review/selection sessions with sponsoring partner organizations.

  • Manage the bootcamp cohort calendar and publishing of class start dates.
  • Project/product management for prospective student application management system, including custom applicant management software.

  • Manage the process (documentation, design, quality standards etc) where other departments are involved in admissions related processes (make sure all involved are fulfilling responsibilities, make sure the student experience is prioritized and up to quality standards, etc).
  • Recruiting and screening of new admissions counselors.
  • Regular review of admissions counselor communications to ensure meeting of standards, adherence to talking points and best practices.

  • Preparing and delivering admissions/enrollment reports and updates in organization wide all hands meetings and regularly director level meetings.

  • Lead regular team stand ups and team syncs to promote team building, SOP’s, open communication; and leading problem solving efforts for the department.
  • Salesforce administration: declarative development and administration to optimize the use of salesforce for admissions and other teams as needed.
  • Assist with establishing admissions requirements, and designing application process to effectively assess for the admissions requirements to be met.
  • Acting as the point of contact for school’s lending partners, approving/certifying loans, record loans in salesforce, loan adjustments, requesting loan-program changes, cancelling loans.
  • Creating SOP’s for both admissions counselor processes and admissions administrative functions.
  • Defining how quality is measured in all admissions functions.
  • Operationalize prospective student services such as connecting prospective students with alumni, class audits, etc.
  • Official admitting of students: performing final check of documentation around meeting of admissions requirements, updating the salesforce record for admission.

  • In collaboration with the legal team, maintain and distribute student documents (agreements, catalogs, onboarding guides).
  • Custom object creation, field creation, automation (workflow rules, process builder), user/license management, rolling out of salesforce updates (e.g multi factor authentication) assisting with report configuration for all departments.
  • Administration of admissions-used software including:
  • Calendly
  • Defining KPI’s for the admissions department.
  • Report on prospective student trends, insights, data, anecdotes to other stakeholders including marketing, product, operations, education, and other teams.
  • Perform quarterly and annual performance reviews with all admissions team members.
  • Complete enrollment verifications and other various admissions related third party requests.
  • Coaching and training of admissions counselors both when newly hired and on ongoing basis for development/improvement.
  • Scholarship operations: design scholarship application processing system, write application questions/criteria/assessment process, kick off scholarship application reviews, lead the scholarship review committee (inviting new members when needed, managing their review assignments, etc), notify all scholarship applicants of scholarship decisions.
  • Preparing sponsored cohort applicant data for review by admissions and partner organization in admissions sessions.

  • Consultative sales and consultative sales training/coaching experience.


Work Experience


  • At least 3 years of management experience.
  • Previous B2B and B2C experience preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in admissions, consultative sales, or high-level account service.


Education


  • BA/BS in relevant field preferred; commensurate experience can substitute the education preference.


Other


  • Travel via plane, car, and metro may be required to perform this job.
