Job Description

SUMMARY: The Director, Life Sciences position is responsible for leading the expansion of the Life Science division, generating deals in the Pharma industry and within research organizations by managing existing and creating new relationships. Incubating business in the Pharma Industry space and creating new avenues of revenue generation and name recognition for the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 10+ years combination of pharma/life sciences consulting, pharma/life sciences partnerships, pharma/life sciences clinical studies, pharma/life sciences analytics or ops experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and cultivate relationships with senior executives and C-suite.
  • Deal origination & negotiation.

  • Bachelors in life science, business or related field is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Model as a leader who can leverage industry knowledge and connections to increase revenue and market share.
  • Lead efforts both internally and externally with solid leadership skills and demonstrable background in the field of Life Science, Pharma and Research.
  • Exhibit the ability to communicate clearly with transparency, honesty, and integrity.
  • Align department objectives with the needs of company goals and generate revenue through establishing and maintaining Life Science deals and partnerships.
  • Adheres to Code of Conduct as outlined in the Baylor Genetics Compliance Program. (required)
  • Prepare and present reports.
  • Build relationships and create business opportunities with executive level and C-Suite prospect interactions.
  • Work cross-departmentally to oversee and manage projects with metrics and skills.
  • Perform and stretch to achieve goals efficiently.
  • Manage and execute plans with business acumen.
  • Drive the Life Science initiatives and ensure goals attainment.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. (required)
  • Review, update and/or create new SOPs to support the process of Life Sciences.
