Responsibilities.


  • Working from the current and future business objectives, define a transformation strategy and roadmap to help client’s IT organization drive the achievement of lasting, sustainable business value.
  • Define and guide the execution of skills assessments and skills transformation programs.
  • Ability to understand the impact of regulated industries on IT positioning and strategic / operational IT decisions.
  • Understand and assess the impact of large-scale drivers of IT transformation such as Cloud, Agile practices, Data and Analytics, AI and more on an IT organization.
  • Define and guide the execute and transformation communications and change management.
  • Define compelling business cases for the proposed transformation.
  • Identify and diagnose capability gaps and recommend initiatives to uplift and/or close gaps.
  • Understand and position the key capabilities in a modern IT operating model such as Design Authority, Modern Operations, Service Integration, FinOps, DevSecOps and Platform Engineering in the context of a hybrid, heavily sourced IT organization.
  • Capture and assess the maturity of an IT operating model.
  • Establish and guide the execution of a transformation program, including program governance and the alignment with IT and corporate governance.
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of IT strategic decisions and guiding principles on the success of a transformation strategy.
  • Assess the maturity of business-IT alignment.
  • Work with IT leadership to envision, design, and direct the technical implementation of business initiatives.
  • Capture and understand client business models and objectives.
  • Position, establish and guide the evolution of a joint client / Kyndryl Center of Excellence as an enabler of the transformation.
  • Develop suitable enterprise architecture strategies and roadmaps based on customer requirement analysis, guiding principles and business drivers.
  • Understand and evaluate the impact of strategic IT vendor selection and position.
  • Understand and qualify the benefits of a digital transformation for the business.
  • Work with IT leadership and enterprise architects to translate strategic business/ IT alignment into specific enterprise architectures to underpin the transformation strategy and roadmap.
  • Understand and qualify the risk of vendor dependency.
  • Define a future IT organization and operating model to help the IT drive the achievement of business objectives.
  • Ability to position and understand business impact analysis on IT.
  • Define and apply business modelling techniques such as business value stream mapping and business component modelling.
  • Work with business developers, business analysts, IT leadership and enterprise architects to align IT resources to current and future business objectives.
  • Use industry standard frameworks like CoBIT, IT4IT, SIAM and ITIL to build and mature IT organizational and process models.


If you are hired, the anticipated compensation range for the position $154,710.00 to $371,300.00 is based on a full-time schedule. Your ultimate compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience. For part time roles, the compensation will be adjusted appropriately. If this is a sales role, you may be eligible for additional incentive compensation opportunities. For non-sales roles, you may be eligible for Kyndryl’s Growth Driven Profit-Sharing plan.

Who You Are


Required Professional and Technical Expertise :


  • Experience with the transformational impacts and benefits of topics such as advanced technologies, cloud computing, digital disruption, agile and technology innovation.
  • Proven capability for defining digital / IT transformation programs within large and complex environments, working with industry-leading experts in their respective fields, delivering strategic business outcomes.
  • Experience applying IT4IT, CoBIT, SIAM or ITIL methodologies.
  • Ability to convey complex technical ideas to the understanding of a non-technical audience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in development and consumption of reusable assets.
  • Strong knowledge in IT organizational design.
  • Strong knowledge in IT business case definition.
  • Proven experience in a range of business and technology lead roles, including IT strategy development, enterprise and solution architecture, digital transformation, IT business case development and shaping and architecting large scale business and technology transformation.
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and managing IT and transformation governance including but not limited to review boards, incorporation of external suppliers and partners, alignment to corporate governance and defining guiding principles and guardrails.
  • Experience in documenting complex systems, clearing articulating current state, future state, and transition steps.
  • Experience in understanding enterprise architectures based on TOGAF and other equivalent frameworks.
  • Awareness of Agile practices and their impact on the IT organization.
  • Proven ability to coach and develop others.
  • Ability to synthesize and simplify complex business requirements into simple and elegant solutions.
  • Ability to listen with empathy.
  • Professional experience: 10+ years of IT work experience across multiple areas of IT consulting, with 5+ years IT Strategy and Transformation experience.
  • Understanding of the organizational requirements to successfully adopt and run DevOps practices and SRE / Platform Engineering.


Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise:


  • Certification in IT4IT, CoBIT or ITIL methodologies
  • MBA or equivalent professional experience
