OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice President of Total Rewards, the Director Health & Wellness plans and directs the overall design, implementation, communication and administration of the company’s health & welfare programs, insurance and perks. The Director will also set the people-centric strategic direction and ensure ongoing benefits program alignment with the overall business objectives and Total Rewards strategies. Key areas of oversight include global benefit program management, employee well-being, outsourced vendor management and compliance.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
· Provide strategic and operational leadership to the design, development, implementation, administration, and communication of employee benefit programs, including health & welfare, insurance and employee wellness
· Analyze current benefit programs for market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness and ensure alignment with business goals and objectives that optimize the ability to attract and retain top talent
· Utilize benefit plan data to develop insights and recommend changes to existing programs
· Continuously monitor benefit trends, national bench-marking data, and marketplace innovation to inform and drive development of new programs and initiatives
· Lead and drive the execution of the annual enrollment process, including site visits, benefits communication plans, SPD updates, and revisions to benefits online platform in partnership with current vendor
· Oversee the management of vendor relationships, along with renewal discussions, benefits communication, and change management plans
· Provide people-centric strategic leadership of benefits processes, including but not limited to, writing communications and enrollment materials, preparing for and conducting benefits training, revising benefits program materials and ensuring distribution of government required plan documents and notifications
· Establish and maintain strong cross functional relationships with key internal partners, including Finance, Legal, Communications, HRIS and field HR leadership
· Build and maintain key performance measure indicators, supporting organizational and operational excellence
· Identify and address professional development opportunities for Benefits professional staff, ensuring growth opportunities and effective succession; serve as a strong leader and coach
QUALIFICATIONS:
· 10-15 years of progressive HR leadership experience, developing and scaling benefits functions for manufacturing and supply chain driven companies
· Significant experience leading benefits strategy, design, administration and compliance for large organizations, including all classes of employees
· Advanced knowledge of managing global health & welfare insurance offerings and related HR policy across several North American countries
· Broad experience with vendor supplied employee benefits platforms and cost-effective management and planning strategies
· Solid understanding of global benefit laws, processes, compliance and regulatory requirements
· Extensive and practical knowledge of benefits laws and regulations, including IRS code, ERISA, PPACA, COBRA, HIPAA, Section 125
· Experience working with Workday’s modules
· Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) accreditation desired

COMPENSATION:
· Market competitive base salary; target bonus of 35%; LTIP
EDUCATION:
- · BS in Business Administration or related fields; MBA preferred
