Job Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain partnerships to facilitate HAI/AR detection, prevention, and response goals, including relationships with Emory University and the University of Georgia..
- Oversee a large and complex portfolio of CDC ELC-funded HAI/AR Program activities including multiple teams or units with specialized focus areas, e.g., HAI/AR prevention and response team, healthcare education and training team (Project Firstline), antibiotic stewardship team, surveillance team (NHSN), nursing home infection prevention and control team, and administrative and finance team.
- Effectively manage awards, including: supervising staff and overseeing contracts, ensuring the quality of the services provided, ensuring coordination and collaboration across the recipient’s portfolio of ELC-funded HAI/AR activities, and meeting reporting requirements.
- Develop and implement a strategic vision in consultation with HAI/AR Program Deputy Director, health department leadership, and HAI/AR Advisory Committee.
- Ensures staff receive appropriate training for HAI/AR Epidemiological functions, including surveillance, analytics and response activities.
