The Director Treasury is a newly created position that will report directly to the Corporate Treasurer. This position will have oversight of key functions of the treasury department including day-to-day treasury operations, liquidity management, cash forecasting, foreign exchange, and international finance areas. The Director Treasury will also work closely with various departments including accounting, tax, legal, financial planning and analysis and international teams to ensure that the company's financial objectives are met.


The Director Treasury will assist in negotiations for all major debt financings and co-manage banking and rating agency relationships with the Treasurer. The position is responsible for all financial modeling which is the basis for capital policy and structuring decisions. The Director Treasury will have day-to-day responsibility for corporate banking management including oversight of banks fees and services.


What You'll Bring


  • Familiarity with debt and equity capital markets including debt agreements (loans, notes, hybrids) is required.
  • 5-7 years investment or commercial banking experience; or
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance or Accounting; MBA preferred.
  • This will be a hybrid role.
  • The candidate should have excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • The targeted candidate will have a strong understanding of global Treasury Operations, cash management strategies, short-term investing and cross-border transactions.
  • General knowledge of Treasury Management Systems, and Kyriba in particular, is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
  • The candidate must also have strong financial modeling and presentation skills with a high level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • An understanding of interest rates, currencies and hedging strategies is preferred.
  • The candidate should be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • General knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments, and risk management techniques.
  • The successful candidate will have a general understanding of finance and accounting principles. Specifically, the candidate must have a solid understanding of financial statements and the interdependencies between the income statement, balance sheet and statement of cash flows.
  • The candidate must be able to lead and develop a team of international treasury professionals.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CTP or CPA is a plus.
  • 7-10 years corporate treasury experience for a global enterprise


Impact You'll Make


  • Provide M&A support including due diligence, financial analysis, day-of-close funds flow execution, M&A integration planning and delivery.
  • Oversee the global Treasury Operations team that is responsible for day-to-day banking activities including account openings/closing, procurement of banking services, fee management and high priority, high sensitivity payments.
  • Responsible for Treasury SOX and other compliance such as debt and regulatory as well as FBAR reporting
  • Lead TransUnion’s In-House banking function including liquidity management, cash forecasting, cross-border transactions, FX management, and intercompany transactions (dividends, loans and other payables). In this capacity, the Director Treasury will work closely with the local finance teams and TransUnion’s Tax department to ensure timely and tax efficient cash management strategies.
  • Develop and implement foreign currency risk management strategies and policies to minimize exposure to foreign currency fluctuations
  • Assist the Treasurer in financial risk management including risk identification, developing mitigation strategies and transaction executions.
  • Manage the company's investment portfolio, including monitoring investment performance, analyzing investment opportunities, and preparing investment reports.
  • Co-partner with the Treasurer on the development of Key Treasury policies
  • Responsible for treasury technology and continuous improvement including Kyriba, TransUnion’s Treasury Management System.
  • Assist the Treasurer in debt and equity capital markets transactions including negotiations, financial analysis and decision support.
  • Work with the Treasurer to develop and maintain relationships with financial institutions, credit rating agencies, and other external stakeholders.
