As the Global leader, you will build and troubleshoot supply chain issues from all directions, you will direct the team, and be a critical part of Nortech success with the customer!


As a Global Supply Chain Director, you will establish, directly manage and oversee the supply chain function across direct and indirect spend categories within the enterprise-wide procurement function. You will also play a key role in efforts aimed at standardizing procurement processes, operating standards, sourcing methodologies, supplier qualification and development and value analysis; and provide critical supply chain leadership for the organization to deliver against company initiatives related to cost reduction, cost avoidance, supplier rationalization and standardizing purchasing practices.

Requirements


  • Skilled at coaching, mentoring and developing staff.
  • Familiarity, experience and comfort level working closely with third party providers, consultants and contracted resources.
  • Strong negotiation skills developed through significant corporate sourcing environment experience.
  • BA/BS degree required in Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience. Advanced degree; Masters, MBA, etc., preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage competing agendas and priorities and translate complex information across internal and external audiences.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a procurement role with extensive supply chain experience and increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Strong financial acumen with consultative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or CPSM certification preferred, not required.
  • The ability to interact with executives and stakeholders at all levels of organization and deliver effective presentations.


Responsibilities


  • Maintain a strategic mindset with strong executive presence and organizational savvy.
  • Deliver value, drive continuous improvement, and provide savings by applying supply chain leading practices.
  • Drives continuous improvement of procurement processes throughout the organization and its subsidiaries and provides expertise to business leaders in planning and implementing supply chain strategies to achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate in the creation and implementation of sourcing and demand management strategies, manage the development of Request for Proposals or Request for Prices or Requests for Information materials, detailed analysis of proposals and vendor capabilities, negotiations and supplier selection.
  • Facilitate the transfer of best practices and continuous improvement processes and practices and the generation of new savings ideas to impact enterprise spend.
  • Leverage knowledge of industry and market trends to develop and champion long-term procurement and sourcing strategies.
  • Negotiate best price, quality, service levels and delivery terms for contracted products and services.
  • Ability to understand customer needs and drive results to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • This key strategic procurement role has multi-million dollar financial impacts and enterprise risk mitigation responsibilities.
  • Perform complex value analysis and financial evaluations of bid proposals, including evaluating potential supplier’s relative financial strength and capabilities to deliver results over term of contract.
  • Provide Supply chain guidance to the organization; introduce new procurement policies, processes and technologies to drive a culture of analysis based decision-making.
