Section 2: Job Summary


The Influencer and Social Marketing Director for Giorgio Armani (GA) Marketing will spearhead the design and implementation of the brand’s communications strategy across social media channels and through organic and paid influencer activations. By embracing the GA spirit for revolutionizing ideas and products, you will create vanguard programming that will inspire and engage our customer audiences while accelerating brand awareness for new and existing customers.


The Influencer and Social Marketing Director will nurture existing lines of business with the key digital industry platforms (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) while uncovering new channels and customers while developing the overall social and influencer brand strategy. They will work cross functionally with all brand partners to leverage A&I programming and content to fulfill the needs of the 360 consumer experience.


This person is a true team member, bringing high level strategic thinking bringing the brand’s strategy to life through execution of best-in-class consumer touchpoints. This person should be able to rise up and analyze data for consumer-centric content development, social and influencer strategy and advocacy programs.


GA Marketing is looking for an experienced, passionate, creative, innovative customer-driven content creator and amplifier. As the Influencer and Social Marketing Director, you will breathe life into our luxurious product portfolio and will write the next chapter for GA Marketing.


Section 3: Judgment and Decision Making:


Defines & implements brand social media strategies that encompass multiple channels. Requires moderate supervision in decision-making.


Section 4: Essential Physical Requirements


Potential for international travel : Paris for meetings with global marketing team 1x per year, Venice for film festival 1x per year, Milan for fashion week (potential).

Section 5: Essential Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Work with brand DMI to drive US relevancy on owned channels sharing best practices, aligning with product launch/priority timings and securing space for US talent on platforms
  • Support and work with Influencer Manager to manage and lead agency of record to
  • Design, command, and manage social media content and strategy for the brand working cross functionally across teams
  • Lead team responsible for development of strategy & execution of US rollout across paid, earned, owned content for brand.
  • Define and craft social and influencer strategy in collaboration with AVP Communications through data-driven insights that meet the overall brand vision
  • Grow the US A&I Market share through growth in key social performance indicators of Video Views, Impressions and Engagements for LUXE brands.
  • In conjunction with product marketing, CAL, retailer and D2C teams, develop & execute cross-channel digital marketing plans to drive business goals, namely: awareness and engagement
  • Define influencers brand strategy and how it fits within the integrated communication brand plans (key product support/brand awareness/key holidays partnership/events).
  • Keen understanding of social monitoring metrics and develop plans – and adjust where necessary to meet and exceed to maintain goals as defined alongside AVP, VP and GM
  • Build autonomous relationships with cross functional partners, DMI partners and fashion partners to bring vision for A&I to all relevant parties
  • Liaise and collaborate with product marketing to execute on digital content marketing tactics inclusive of digital content development (Paid & organic social, programmatic, partner media), influencer & advocacy efforts, D2C & eretail content and partnership ops, etc.
  • Elevate and manage brand Manager, encouraging growth and helping to foster strong skills in arena
  • Manage budget related to this core function alongside the AVP and evolve budget with needs throughout the year
  • Enhance brand strategy as needed based on industry trends, consumer preferences, etc.


Section 7: Required Qualifications:


  • Proven experience with brand communications, community management, social marketing, influencer & advocacy programs
  • In-depth, knowledge and understanding of digital platforms and how they can be leveraged to achieve business goals, including emerging trends in channel performance and content strategies
  • Experience developing compelling social media campaigns and effective content strategies
  • Ability to effectively structure and articulate themselves to foster learning
  • Experience managing and cultivating direct reports
  • Creative problem solver
  • Ability to develop solid relationships and lead with influence
  • Exceptional organizational skills and high level of attention to detail;
  • Experience managing and developing a team, with experience onboarding to new social media management, listening platforms and social frameworks
  • Ability to manage in complex, matrixed, fast paced environment
  • College Degree
  • Experience with executing digital & social media campaigns from upper funnel awareness campaigns to performance marketing campaigns focused on conversion
  • Detailed knowledge of CRM best practice and industry benchmarks
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Minimum seven (7) years of Influencer / Social Marketing experience
