Position:Digital & Social Media Department Lead - Full Time/Exempt


Reports To:Vice President, Content & Creative


Location: Arizona Cardinals (Tempe, AZ)

Summary


The Digital and Social Media Department Lead for the Arizona Cardinals will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy that drives fan engagement and supports the team's overall marketing and business objectives. The role will work closely with the marketing, communications, and creative teams to create compelling content and campaigns that resonate with our fans across all social media and digital platforms.


Primary Job Duties


The Digital & Social Media Department Lead will have daily responsibilities including, without limitation the following:


  • Work closely with Content and Creative team (writers, graphic artists, videographers/editors) to create and curate engaging content that resonates with our fans - including written, visual, and multimedia content
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on social media metrics, such as engagement rates, reach, and conversions, and use this data to optimize the social media strategy
  • Manage and grow the team's social media presence across all major platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, and YouTube
  • Collaborate with the marketing, communications, and creative teams to ensure that all social media initiatives are aligned with broader marketing and business objectives
  • Oversee social media influencer outreach and content collaboration
  • Manage digital campaign timelines and content calendars, SEO and SEM efforts - ensuring all digital assets are in compliance with current laws and regulations
  • Manage and mentor a team of social media specialists and oversee their work. Provide guidance and provide clear KPI’s
  • Lead digital campaign integration - driving engagement, growth, and revenue. (website/app, social, audio, production, e-commerce, email)
  • Monitor and manage the team's overall digitial footprint
  • Develop and execute social media activations that engage fans and drive ticket sales, merchandise sales, and other revenue streams
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Content strategy that aligns with the team's overall brand, marketing, and business objective
  • Stay up-to-date with social media trends, tools, and best practices and adjust the social media strategy accordingly
  • Work closely with the team's players, coaches and front office to create compelling content and campaigns that showcase the team's brand and personality


Qualifications/Requirements


  • Experience developing and executing social media strategies for sports teams or related industries
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field; an equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the duties of the job listed above may be considered
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience managing social media advertising campaigns and budgets
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with players, coaches, and other stakeholders
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills, with the ability to create compelling content for a variety of audiences
  • Passion for football and the NFL
  • Experience:Minimum seven (7) years of experience in social media management, with a proven track record of growing and engaging social media audiences
  • Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to use data to measure the effectiveness of social media campaigns
  • Understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team


Position Information


This position will be at the forefront of the first and sometimes primary touchpoints with Cardinals fans. A storyteller with the ability to develop the personality and voice of our social media platforms is paramount.


Special Working Conditions


  • Ability to work a non-traditional schedule that may require mandatory team events on weekends, off-site, and out-of-state when necessary
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
  • May view computer screens for long periods of time
