Job Description

As the Digital Marketing Specialist, you will work as part of our broader Marketing team to develop and manage digital, email and SMS campaigns efficiently, measure performance and aim to drive online and in-store traffic and sales while promoting overall brand goals. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, proactive, and creative individual with a solid analytics background. Strong organization and time-management skills are a must.

The Digital Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Digital Marketing Manager.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for ongoing management of inbox placement and development of strategies to ensure optimal deliverability.
  • Communicates trends internally and externally to digital marketing teams and internal marketing teams on key objectives as well as any marketing strategic changes.
  • Maintain email/SMS campaigns and templates within the CDP and be responsible for organizing the assets for email/SMS-related images, icons, and other features within the CMS.
  • Support full-funnel on behavior-based triggers, promotional, informative, acquisition, retention, remarketing, and prospecting efforts to enhance the consumer journey and drive customer lifetime value and brand affinity.
  • Pitch strategic planning decisions backed by data and creation of monthly digital cadence, translating business priorities to develop an email/SMS marketing calendar, including audience definition, scheduling frequency/recommendations, and test plans that maximize business results.
  • Performs other duties as required/assigned by Manager.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for efficacy and conduct research on best practices and benchmarks to drive best in class email, SMS, and store marketing.
  • Create weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting that clearly communicates results & insights to identify opportunities to increase channel revenue.
  • End-to-End development and deployment of email and SMS marketing programs directly within the platform, creation of lead focused email and SMS offers, A/B testing, social media amplification, campaign reporting, marketing calendar management, and project management.
  • Be a brand ambassador for The Paper Store
  • Implement personalization strategies on digital marketing campaigns to increase performance in key KPIs for email, SMS, and other digital campaigns.
  • Be a key stakeholder with Marketing, Buyers, Operations, and Design to brainstorm and execute top objectives for the omnichannel business with high visibility and impact. Showcase a variety of brand stories and seasonal commercial priorities as defined by the brand and eCommerce marketing teams.
  • Create designer work orders and collaborate in creative brief sessions to convey creative direction and ensure brand-appropriate outcome in consumer-facing asset. Work in the CDP editor to ensure email/SMS best practices are observed.



JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Detail oriented, self-starter, curious and innovative mindset with the ability to react quickly to changing priorities without full guidance.
  • Prioritizes workload and meets deadlines for a variety of marketing “deliverables”.
  • Experience working within marketing automation platforms or content management systems
  • 2+ years of related experience in digital marketing
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Communicate effectively regarding current project status, issues, concerns, etc. Effective verbal and written communication on all levels both internally and externally.
  • Professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance
  • Self-motivated, analytical, quick learner, organized, detail oriented, multi-tasker
  • Data-driven, analytical, and solution oriented.
  • Thorough understanding of email marketing principles and best practices
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is good at dealing with ambiguity.
  • Ability to work 3+ days/week at the Corporate Office in Acton, MA
