Job Description

Opportunity Overview:

Responsibility Summary/:

  • This Marketing Specialist will join the BTTA Marketing Team as the primary manager of our digital recruitment event experience and lead nurturing programs—including but not limited to email campaigns, tracking, measurement, list management, reporting, and creating processes for best practices. Therefore the ideal candidate would have experience with both event management and contact management platforms. This role will also call for a marketing professional who is a quick learner for managing and using other digital marketing platforms and tools related to content, social sharing, tracking, and reporting.
  • The Digital Marketing Specialist will join the BTTA Marketing Team and start contributing right away.. The role will require a talented marketing professional with experience creating and updating event registration sites, virtual event delivery, and digital marketing campaigns while also proving the ability to track metrics and report on performance through analytics. This primary responsibility will help the team and overall department be more efficient and effective in its pursuit to meet its overall business objectives.


Responsibilities include:

  • Setting up automated email campaigns for our jobseeker leads within the CRM
  • Ensuring quality brand design standards, UX principles, and accessibility guidelines followed by other email blast publishers
  • Becoming the marketing team's SME on all things CRM (Avature)
  • Delivering event and email campaign reports to key business areas
  • Provide event metrics and analysis
  • Partnering with business area stakeholders and agency to help create lead generation campaigns that involve the CRM (Avature)
  • Partnering with other CRM business stakeholders, owners, and leaders to identify opportunities for improvements related to tagging, measurement, list management, and user best practices
  • Assist with development of event related marketing materials and conference web sites.
  • Plan and implement logistics of webinars and virtual events, including setting up virtual event platforms, adjusting presentation settings, creating run of show document, coordinating and leading speaker rehearsals, collecting and sharing slides, executing and leading day-of online events, etc.
  • Revising and testing HTML email templates for CRM (Avature) and media partner eblasts
  • Managing other miscellaneous marketing team tasks and processes
  • Coordinate and manage the attendee experience, through event assets, on-line registration and invites and other digital campaigns

  • As the team grows, potential for full-time hire is a possibility
  • Opportunity to make an impact right away, as the there is so much emphasis on prioritizing FA growth and strategically creating leads (Avature to create and nurture) and hosting recruitment events (Cvent to create and execute virtual events and process candiate registration/attendance)
  • Opposed to a large marketing department, marketing knowledge is sparse in this talent acquisition area, so expertise will be valued

  • Wide exposure to several digital marketing platforms as the team emphasizes innovation


Position Requirements:

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • 2 years of events/hospitality industry experience
  • Ability to work alone or in collaboration with other associates
  • Self-starter attitude toward problem solving technical challenges and managing work
  • Experience working in events management technology platforms (Cvent preferred)
  • 2 years of Contact Relationship Management platforms experience
  • Automated email campaign experience
  • Comfortable learning, creating, and enforcing new processes in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience learning new technology platforms on the job


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using recruitment marketing and lead management platforms (e.g. Avature, SmashFly)
  • Adobe Suite experience
  • Event marketing through online experiences and digital content
  • CRM, Email Service Providers, and/or Marketing Automation platforms (e.g. Salesforce, Mailchimp, Marketo, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Recruitment marketing experience a plus
  • Balancing multiple projects and daily tasks
  • Email blast marketing and design experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Sharepoint (or similar project and asset management software)
  • UX design best practices – an eye for good design is big plus!
