A Brief Overview
The Digital Health Data Analyst will drive the analytics and intelligence that is used to build strategic direction and support operational efficiency for Digital Health initiatives across Stanford Health Care. Reporting to the Digital Health Data Analytics Manager, the candidate will work with a cross-functional team, providing predictive insights to develop strategies and business cases, structuring partnerships and driving strategic initiatives to grow digital health capabilities at Stanford Health Care.

What you will do
  • Analyzes internal clinical and claims data as well as external market data to drive meaningful insights to inform strategic choices
  • Creates action-oriented insights and recommendations in communicative and impactful documents for Stanford’s executives to reference
  • Produces analyses of current market data in the SHC market, including competitive, economic, and financial analyses
  • Supports leadership in the development of strategy planning and analysis
  • Forecasts the impact of proposed new business models
  • Conducts complex quantitative, and sometimes qualitative, analyses that contribute to the development of strategic insights for new digital health opportunities, including new service and product opportunities, market sizing, financial and economic modeling, investment planning and scenario analysis
  • Partners with program managers and key stakeholders to define and develop key performance indicators and metrics to support operational efficiency and enable effective measurement of programmatic outcomes
  • Produces reporting and dashboards for key stakeholders to create appropriate visibility into programs

Education Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in business management, health administration, health informatics or related field is preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare management, business administration, management, healthcare administration, public health, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Experience Qualifications
  • Relevant work experience in data analytics, strategic planning, management consulting or healthcare services, particularly in digital health, is ideal.
  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible and directly related experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong technical skills including Excel, SQL, Tableau
  • Knowledge of the health care industry.
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to business leaders and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to conduct complex quantitative and qualitative analyes, draw insight from findings, and formulate recommendations.
  • Knowledge of strategic planning needs of an academic medical center.
  • Familiarity with healthcare data, including patient data, demographic data, financial data, and others.
  • Ability to drive business intelligence and predictive modeling projects.
  • Familiarity with clinical, claims, and external market data.
  • Strong data analytics and financial modeling ability.
  • Deep expertise in Clarity.

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $64.52 - $85.49 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
