Job Description

We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a(n) part-time Digital Content Contributor within our Marketing + Creative team to help support our Corporate business. As a(n) Digital Content Contributor you will have the opportunity to serve the company in advertising, digital marketing, content creation and more. Your contributions will have a direct impact on the business by spreading digital awareness of the company to improve its overall success. The team you will be working with is hard-working and collaborative, and values the process of understanding the voice of the brand.

So, what will you be doing as a(n) Digital Content Contributor?

  • Provide any feedback on current social strategies and processes
  • Expected availability during traditional business hours on a pre-defined schedule
  • Maintain weekly progress communications with manager, director, or other leader as requested
  • Obtain approved comment responses and respond via Agorapulse
  • Other duties as assigned by Social Media Strategist
  • Schedule fully approved posts in Agorapulse
  • Community Management
    • Obtain approved direct message responses and respond to via Agorapulse
    • Obtain approved comment responses and respond via Agorapulse
    • Use defined digital “voice” for each account based under the direction of Social Media Strategist
  • Utilize metric reporting to help guide content development direction for continuous improvement of channels
  • Use defined digital “voice” for each account based under the direction of Social Media Strategist
  • Develop projects for design work as directed and enter projects into the Lytho project review platform, following project to ensure timely delivery of asset
  • Obtain approved direct message responses and respond to via Agorapulse
  • Development of rough draft content and graphics based on existing social media strategy and brainstorm feedback, under the direction of Social Media Strategist
  • Develop social media content calendars
  • Schedule to include attendance of client and team brainstorm sessions for relevant social channels and take notes with the intention of developing rough draft posts/graphics (via Canva) that meet brand standards for each group.


To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or equivalent, demonstrated experience
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Good computer skills
  • Basic understanding of social media marketing concepts and principles
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Strong attention to detail with well-honed organizational skills
  • Ability to meet consistently meet deadlines for social media content approvals


Things we consider a plus:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and social media management tools (Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Agorapulse)
  • Familiarity with social media channels and audiences, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Twitter
  • Canva graphic development experience
  • Track record of working efficiently and effectively in a remote environment
  • Available portfolio of social media content creation
