Job Description
Redaptive is looking for a DevOps Engineer to maintain, improve, and scale operations of our meter data management system and customer facing software products. These products enable a data-driven approach to GHG reduction using a fleet of IoT meters deployed at thousands of sites.

As a DevOps Engineer, in this role you will play a critical role in architecting and deploying services on our AWS-hosted platform. You will design and improve capabilities that allow our IoT, web service and machine learning systems to scale with our business. This is a platform engineering role where you will build and support systems that empower data science and software engineering teams .
Role will work closely with domestic and international teammates. This position reports to the Manager of Software Engineering.
Must be located in, or willing to relocate to the Denver Metro Area.

Job Responsibilities

  • Act as an escalation point to manage operational issues. Responds to active incidents and proactively works to improve our platform to ensure operational stability.
  • Manage priorities across various internal clients. Participate in agile development processes.
  • Support and extend the Redaptive DevOps platform which powers our APIs, IoT infrastructure, ML and data storage needs.
  • Support and extend monitoring systems for production environments. Enable teams to manage and monitor their systems using tools such as Prometheus and/or Grafana
  • Collaborate with Software Engineers, QA, Data Scientists, and Product Managers to design and improve systems and processes which support hardware and software deployments.

Job Requirements/Qualifications

  • Experience designing and supporting CI and CD systems for website, API and ML applications.
  • 5+ years experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ working supporting container orchestration solutions, Kubernetes preferred.
  • Working knowledge of the AWS platform, particularly VPC, IAM, S3, EC2 & Lambda.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript & Java is a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with infrastructure as code solutions, Terraform preferred.
  • Have an ergonomically correct and functional work-from-home workstation set up; amenable to a hybrid of working from home and in an office setting in the Denver Metro Area, Colorado
  • Demonstrated history working in a self-directed manner, coordinating with stakeholders to design systems, problem-solve issues, communicate status and manage project delivery.
  • Experience defining and enforcing security best practices and controls.
  • Experience developing Bash & Python solutions which manage cloud environments.
