Who we are:
Intterra is a trusted interagency common operational platform providing real-time situational awareness software for firefighters, first responders, and the private sector. Intterra's software tools allow communities to share situational information and respond to risks & events as they develop in real-time.
We are looking for a QA Engineerwho will play an important part in our company’s product development process. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting tests before product launches to ensure our software runs smoothly and meets stakeholders’ needs.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs
- Identify, triage, track bugs and perform regression testing when bugs are resolved
- Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies
- Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
- Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open-source tools
- Monitor debugging process results
- Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions
- Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements
- Track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases based on requirements and technical design documents
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
- Experience working in an Agile development process
- Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans, and test cases
- Software Development and scripting experience in one or more of the following languages/frameworks; Node.js, .NET, Python, React.js
- 2+ years’ experience with QA processes, test frameworks, writing cases and automating tests
- Hands-on experience with automated testing tools
Pluses:
- Experience with GIS
- Experience with CI/CD, performance and/or security, Jenkins, Terraform, Sonarqube, ELK and other AWS tools
- Experience working in or with public safety or government sector
- Database management experience
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of workexperience in software quality assurance and software development
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and/or equivalent experience
Compensation and Work Location/Travel:
- Location: Castle Rock, CO, USA
- On-site Commitment: 3-4 times per month
- Position: Full-Time Hybrid
- Salary: The compensation range for this position is $90,000-$105,000 annually, dependent on skills and experience
