Special Requirements

• Must have experience with AWS and Kubernetes
• Bachelor’s degree +5 years of experience
• US Citizenship or Green Card required to obtain a Public Trust

The Gist…

As a DevOps Engineer you will serve as the engineer of complex technology implementations in a product-centric environment. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between legacy development or operations teams and working toward a shared culture and vision.

What Your Day Might Include…

• Implement all solutions as code - If it isn't in source control, it didn't happen
• Install and manage open-source monitoring tools
• Configure and manage Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website
• Hands on experience with EKS, Gitlab, creating Automated Pipelines and Kubernetes
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical audience as necessary
• Manage container orchestration engines (Kubernetes)
• Work to equip developers with the best tools.
• Install and manage infrastructure as code tools, configuration management tools and containerization technologies
• Debug auto-scaling computing architectures
• Develop architecture for continuous integration and deployment as well as continuous monitoring
• Ensure system uptime and performance.
• Work with open-source solutions and communities
• Deploy and configure services using infrastructure as service provider (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Compute Engine, RackSpace/OpenStack)

You’ll Bring These Qualifications…

• Experience installing and managing containerization technologies (e.g., LXC, Docker, Rocket, Kubernetes)
• Min of 5 years of relevant experience
• Experience coding using Ruby, Go, and/or Python
• Experience installing and managing configuration management tools (e.g., Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Salt)
• Experience installing and managing infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Participate in on-call rotation with no more than 1 week a month on call, and an average page-out rate of 1 event per on call period.
