Job Description
Position Responsibilities
The Development Coordinator is a key member of the National Inventors Hall of Fame (NIHF) Fundraising team, responsible for leading donor recognition fulfillment by managing donor relations and benefits for NIHF’s education and recognition programs.
  • Maintain comprehensive, accurate grant and donor files through Salesforce
  • Ensure national, regional, and local donors are recognized on all applicable donor benefits materials across all NIHF programs (e.g. posters, marketing packets, T-shirts, brochures, flyers, e-newsletters, e-blasts, social media, website)
  • Manage the donor gift acknowledgement process
  • Work with the Marketing and Creative teams to incorporate donors in all applicable print, online, and electronic communications
  • Manage the Fundraising team’s annual site visit process and annual report preparation
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Collaborate with the Sales team to secure local donors’ logos and information
  • Provide support for scholarship management
  • Determine donor eligibility and secure fundraiser approval for benefits materials
  • Provide the Fundraising team with support throughout grant cycle (e.g. gathering program data, proofing, drafting grant applications and final reports)
  • Produce donor lists for all print, social, and digital communications
  • Manage donor benefits timelines in collaboration with the Marketing, Operations, Warehouse, and Creative teams
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Self-directed critical-thinker; performance-oriented individual who has demonstrated initiative and achievement of goals
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to changing priorities while adhering to deadlines
  • Detail-oriented; strong organizational skills
  • Effective verbal, writing, and presentation skills
  • Proven proficiency with MS Office and Salesforce or other donor-related databases
  • Proven research and analytical capabilities
Credentials and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree
