This position is with our studio, Manufactured Construction – Colorado’s premier prefabricated interior construction subcontractor. Projects range in size from $200K to $8M.


Job Summary:

A Designer at Workplace elements in the Manufactured Construction Studio is responsible for the design and specification of prefabricated construction solutions for projects ranging in size, market type and complexity. Prefabricated systems may include interior partition systems with power components, med gases, doors and hardware, casework, timber, raised access floors, acoustic treatments, laboratory solutions and window coverings. Designers work as a part of the team in coordination with the project manager, project coordinator, other designers, and the install manager to effectively implement a project from inception to close-out.


Essential Functions

  • Create design models in Revit, CAD, CET or ICE, depending on the manufacturer.
  • Attendance in any design development meeting meetings for projects we have won or are pursuing up to the point of order entry.
  • Submitting project quotes and orders in conjunction with the MC Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
  • Supporting design coordination with architects, engineers, and contractors.
  • Generate production information, i.e. “shop drawings” and the project scope form with accuracy for submittals and order entry.
  • Submitting design coordination documents and deliverables per the architect’s schedule.
  • Interpreting site conditions with Install Manager and ensuring the design of the product follows manufacturer’s requirements and will fit the space and any logistical conditions
  • Providing information that will apply to accurate installation quotes.
  • Work through constructability details with the project team and manufacturer.
  • Interpreting site Measurements and project scope requirements.
  • Design and specification of projects, either independently or with other Designers.
  • Create renderings and presentation content in Enscape and Sketchup.


Required Skills/Experience

  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Proficient in ACAD and Revit.
  • Well versed with submittals, RFIs and document tracking.
  • Experience with CET, ICE, Procore, Enscape and/or Smartsheets is a bonus.
  • Experience with design and specification of interior partitions, door hardware, casework and window coverings.
  • Must be able to analyze and problem solve, even with significant ambiguity.
  • Experience with prefabricated construction solutions is a bonus.
  • Must be extremely organized, with good time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings.
  • Minimum 2 years of interior design or architectural design firm experience.


Compensation: 70K - 85K/YR
