Designer
Works in concert with the Senior Architect, Associate(s), Principal Architect or Director of Design and has full responsibility for creating and managing the design direction of a project in addition to project management responsibilities for assigned projects.
- Estimates fee, determines scope of work, and contributes the information for proposal and contract preparation.
- Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets and scope of work to completion and to the client’s satisfaction.
- Perform QC review and generate redlines prior to final QC review by Production Director, Senior Architect or similar.
- Production of CADD presentations and plan documents.
- Oversee the design to ensure it is meeting the building and zoning code research.
- Prepares strategic plans for project success.
- Steward company values and processes.
- Actively manages the client, budgets, invoicing, schedules, programs, project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
- Prepares presentation and design drawings and details.
- Other duties as assigned or requested.
- Coordinates project design, develops creative-design concepts for projects, and prepares presentations and design drawings.
- Works independently on architectural design projects and often coordinates project design efforts. Develops planning and creative-design concepts for projects.
- Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
- Provide design mentoring and training for junior staff and team members.
- Manage all aspects of subconsultant engagement and serve as conduit to the project and team.
- Attend and contribute to internal meetings as requested.
What are we looking for?
Experience & Ability
- AutoCAD and REVIT proficiency required
- Knowledge of construction with regards to material & methods
- Understanding of architectural design and construction observation
- Working knowledge of building codes
- 8+ years’ work experience developing details and providing planning and design support in the preparation of design development
- A proven track record for independent critical and strategic thinking
- A degree in Architecture
- License preferred but not required
- Comfort with front-facing client interaction while providing a high level of customer service
- Strong communication skills; both verbal and written

Compensation
$70,000 to $100,000 annual salary plus discretionary and profit-sharing bonuses and a robust benefits package including:

Location
KGA is moving to York Street Yards on April 18th, 2022. Our new address will be 3881 Steele St, Ste 1132, Denver, CO 80205. We will be in temp space (also in York Street Yards) from April until October-ish while our new office is being built out.
