Deputy Director of Finance- D33D-ES


Annual Salary $105,000 + Full State Employee Benefits

Travel is Occasional: Must possess a valid driver's license and must maintain required care insurance.


Minimum Qualifications :


Completion of the curriculum requirements for a bachelor’s degree in finance, budgeting, or arelated field and eight years of experience in governmental finance, budgeting, or a similarprofessional environment, including two years in management and/or administrative capacity; oran equivalent combination of education and experience.


Or


an equivalent combination of education and experience, substituting one year of professional-level experience in the above-listed areas for each year of the required education


  • No substitution will be allowed for the required professional supervisory, managerial, consultative, or administrative experience.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Plan and direct financial accounting, auditing, cash management, and other fiscal operations and functions for the accounts payable department
  • Ability to work on a diverse team and directly with people from diverse backgrounds specifically racial, ethnic, socioeconomic, and disabilities.
  • Approvevarious expenditures and obligations,
  • Developing appropriate accounting systems,
  • Establishing necessary financial controls,
  • Direct staff activities in coordinating accounts payable functions, including processing, review, maintaining vendor and program division relationships,
  • Analyzing and reporting financial accounting data,
  • Oversee responses to internal and external audits.
