Deposit Operations Processor (Remote eligible in AZ, KS, MO & NM)
Summary:

Under the direction of the Deposit Operations manager, performs a wide variety of duties in the Deposit Operations Department. In this position you will perform various daily tasks related to the day to day operations of the bank as well as handle functions that have a regulatory, monetary, and potential reputational risk impact. Functions are time sensitive and must be adhered to by means of policy and procedure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Apprise Manager of Deposit Operations about monetary risk related problems where there could be the expectation of a loss to a customer or to the Bank, including any potential Bank reputational risk.
  • Responsible for developing and creating reports as needed within the department.
  • Perform daily reconciliation of corporate accounts and bank dues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for providing superior customer service via the telephone to internal and external customers.
  • Retain knowledge that fully represent the Bank’s products and services and show appropriate level of courtesy and efficiency
  • Recognize problems that could have a customer or regulatory impact and escalate to appropriate department manager.
  • Assist other banking units with differences and adjustments.
  • Required to be a subject matter expert and resource to the department as well as other divisions within the bank.
  • Keeps abreast of industry changes that will improve job function and performance.
  • Responsible for electronic payment processing/exception item processing, including but not limited to: returns, chargebacks, adjustments, NSF/payment decisions and un-posted items.
  • Renders bank statements and notices.
  • Cross train in all the functions of the Deposit Operations Department.
Qualifications:
  • Requires excellent communication skills, good time management skills and the ability to initiate and embrace change.
  • Ability to work independently, with little to no supervisory oversight.
  • Ability to operate computers, adding machine and a variety of office equipment.
  • Strong Customer Service
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong decision making process that is consistent, thoughtful and informed, with the ability to consider alternate conclusions and actions.
  • Excellent mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail with immediate and accurate results.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Minimum 1-2 years of banking and/or related experience and/or training
  • High school Education or GED
Computer and Software Skills:
