Full or Part Time Dental Assistant

Our specialty periodontal and implant practice is accepting resumes for an experienced Dental Assistant. Qualifications include excellent customer service relations, a positive attitude and the ability to multitask.

Qualified candidate must possess:

  • Surgical and Implant experience (willing to train the right person)
  • Minimum of 2 years dental office experience....Dentrix is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A willingness to learn and be a team player

Responsibilities would include but not limited to:

  • Prepare, sterilize, disinfect, and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Properly transfer instruments to the doctor and/or second Dental Assistant.
  • Type treatment notes from patient’s visit.
  • Perform dental procedure isolation techniques. Keep patients’ mouths dry and clear by using suction or other devices.
  • Instruct patients on postoperative instructions and general oral health care.
  • Perform post-operative procedures including suture removal and polishing.
  • Take impressions.
  • Assist with exams, periodontal and implant procedures.
  • Expose diagnostic x-rays and take intra-oral camera pictures (as needed).
  • Thorough charting of treatment information in the patients’ dental notes from the doctor.
  • Maintain patient management during dental procedures to make sure the patient is comfortable. (i.e. proper suction, using tools in a gentle manner).

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time


Salary: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Experience:

  • Dental assisting: 2 years (Preferred)

Work Location: In person
