Data Strategist Jobs

A multi-strategy hedge fund manager is seeking a Data Strategist to join their data platform team. You will be responsible for overseeing their data portfolio, maintaining data catalog, and liaising with portfolio managers/vendors to coordinate trials and onboarding of new datasets.

As Data Strategist, you will analyze traditional market data and alternative data providers to identify potential fits to investment research needs, oversee the acquisition, integration, and maintenance of data products from market data/alt data providers, ensuring the timely and accurate onboarding of data to support investment strategies.

Essential skills:

• Familiarity with market data platforms, such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, FactSet, or similar systems.
• Market Data experience/ Data strategy experience is a must
• 8+ years of experience in market data analysis, strategy development, or a similar role within the financial services industry
• Proficient in data analysis tools, such as Excel, SQL, Python, R, or other relevant programming languages
• In-depth understanding of financial concepts across asset classes (equities, fixed income, credit, FX) is a plus
• Strong knowledge of traditional market data and alternative data vendors
• Strong understanding of data management principles, including data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and data governance.
• Bachelor's degree in information management, finance, economics, business, or a related field.
