• This is a newly forming team and you will have the opportunity to directly impact how this team is being structured and steer the direction of data science strategy.

• +2 years in a technical leadership role
• Demonstrated expertise in Python, PySpark and SQL programming for manipulating large data sets
• Knowledge of machine learning lifecycle, including MLOps
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Math, Engineering +7yrs, MS + 5yrs, or PhD + 3yrs
• Experience working in an Agile environment using tools such as JIRA
• Proven ability to establish and lead the adoption of analytic development standards
• Hands-on AI/ML algorithm development experience leveraging ML libraries and frameworks
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience developing and deploying data/ML pipelines in a cloud environment
• Proven expertise in breaking down and solving complex problems
• Strong communication skills including summarizing, interpreting, and presenting data-derived insights

• Experience with AWS data and analytic tools
• Familiar with healthcare data standards
• Experience working with large scale healthcare claims and clinical data
• Knowledge in MLOps

• Demonstrate solution/algorithm feasibility by developing prototypes
• Extract and manipulate large data sets, leveraging tools including Python, PySPark and SQL
• Provide ongoing technical oversight for project, including ensuring conformance to best practices and performing code/PR reviews
• Promote a data-driven enterprise
• Transform prototypes into production quality data/ML pipelines that are integrated into applications
• Mentor junior Data Scientists
• Solve complex business problems applying statistical techniques and machine learning algorithms
• Effectively communicate actionable insights to internal stakeholders and clients – tell the story
• Collaborate with product management and business stakeholders to understand project requirements. Support project work breakdown, estimation, and planning efforts
• Assume technical ownership of projects and lead solution/algorithm design efforts
• Proactively address technical issues and roadblocks
• Perform exploratory data analysis, summarization, and reporting
• Promote best practices such as code reuse, unit & integration testing
