Position Details:

Job Title: Data Scientist

Location: Greenwood Village, CO

Project Overview:

This role is under the Data Science & Experimentation department in the Fraud Detection team. There’s two models this team works on 1. Video 2. Wifi sharing – currently, they are building out the WiFi sharing side and that is where this role would sit. This person would be helping to clean data, create new features to the models, identify WiFi sharing mis-use through data, and ultimately help the company sell more products.

Required Qualifications:

• Solid background in Machine Learning models
• MINIMUM 3 years of hands-on SQL experience
• Strong communication skills – will be chatting with stakeholders from time to time

Bonus Skills:

• Experience with version control systems
• Data visualization experience

Responsibilities:

• Most of the time data scientists work in teams using collaborative filtering, k-nearest neighbors, market basket analysis and matrix factorization methods.
• They work with teams of other IT professionals to manage statistical data and create different models based on the needs of their company.
• IT data scientists follow specific, strict company and industry guidelines in their work.
• One of their main work tools is usually an industrial computer with high processing power and proprietary software applications for research tasks.
• They observe data privacy rights to ensure client satisfaction and avoid legal issues.
• They also provide value to their businesses through their findings and thoughtful insights.
• Data scientists are responsible for mining complex data and providing systems-related advice for their organization.
