Altamira Technologies is seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our Intelligence Community organization in Dayton OH. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the developing and maintaining databases and provide support to intelligence analysts as they gain valuable insights and make informed decisions. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals and contribute to the enhancement of national security and strategic decision-making. Responsibilities

• Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing data validation and cleansing procedures.
• Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain databases for intelligence analysis purposes.
• Optimize query performance and implement indexing strategies to enhance database retrieval and analysis capabilities.
• Develop algorithms and techniques for relationship mapping, clustering, and trend analysis.
• Collaborate with software developers to integrate the database into analytical tools and platforms.
• Support implementation of the data integration processes to extract, transform, and load structured and unstructured data from various sources into the database.
• Collaborate with intelligence analysts and subject matter experts to understand requirements and translate them into effective database designs.

Basic Qualifications:

• TS/SCI clearance required
• Programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, R or Tableau to pull and analyze data
• 3+ years of experience with data exploration, data cleaning, data analysis, data visualization, or data mining
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• 3+ years of experience with statistical and general-purpose programming languages for data analysis
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• US citizen

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with machine learning techniques for knowledge graph analysis.
• Understanding of graph database concepts and familiarity with database technologies such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or Virtuoso.
• Experience with data modeling, ontologies, and semantic technologies.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques for entity extraction and linking.
• Knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies and tradecraft.
• Experience with query languages such as SPARQL and Cypher for database querying and manipulation.
• Experience with large scale pipeline building for large volume data ingestion.
• Experience working with intelligence analysis or within the Intelligence Community.
• Knowledge of data security and privacy principles in intelligence-related contexts.
