Job Description

A Data Processing analyst opportunity is available through Modis. This role pays an hourly rate of $25hr.

Supporting the Data Processing Lead, the primary function of the Data Processing Analyst is reviewing and analyzing partner sales activity (~1000s of rows) regularly submitted monthly or quarterly on an Excel template through a web portal. Daily tasks include identifying inaccuracies or compliance issues, communicating directly with partners to resolve identified issues, tracking report status, and preparing consolidated reports of each contract’s net sales once all issues are resolved. Simple searches within large price lists (+1M products), and contract documents may be necessary to confirm purchaser or product eligibility, pricing, discounts, and associated fees. Most contracts require an administrative fee be assessed and paid to the State contract holder based off a % of the total net sales reported. Contract fee invoices, collection efforts and reconciliation are also the responsibility of the data processing team, and the Analyst may be expected to support these efforts along with various projects and developing more efficient processes when necessary. Frequent collaboration with CMO team members and other various stakeholders including Resellers and/or customers is necessary.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

· Understand contract terms and conditions/requirements related to job responsibilities.

  • Process monthly & quarterly detailed contract sales volume reports with varying contract deadlines.
  • Log and forward Sales team issues to Contract Manager for further analysis.
  • Assist Data Processing Lead with contract fees invoicing tasks, as needed.
  • Prepare consolidated sales reports by contract/state and provide to Data Processing Lead for finalization.
  • Send emails/reminders to Resellers, as needed, for contract fees invoices, proof of payments, sales reports, etc., to ensure on-time submissions and address basic questions/issues.

· Collaborate with Contract Managers and Sales Enablement team on contract and Reseller details as related to any Data Processing team-related tasks.

  • Assist other team members on large or urgent projects, periodically.
  • Update miscellaneous tracking files with information provided using various tools.
  • Upload sales reports and related documents into online document repository.
  • Prepare regular status updates of detailed tasks in weekly Data Processing Team meetings.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Hyperlink cells.
  • Inserting/deleting columns/rows; Hide/unhide rows and tabs; Wrap text; Merge and Center; Fill/Autofill; Paste Values; Transpose; Convert text to columns.
  • Use of shortcuts for efficiency.
  • Experience with tracking, maintaining, and updating data with accuracy.
  • Building, manipulating, and formatting pivot tables/pivot charts; charts (primarily column and pie) and graphs.
  • Minimum of BA or BS
  • Basic formatting – expanding column width/row heights; font styles/type/size/color, cell fill color/borders/alignment; merge and center.
  • Creating and editing formulas (sum, average, count, if, VLOOKUP, concatenate, calculating net cost per applied discounts, % of total, rank, etc.)
  • Format data – currency/accounting, percentage, decimals, dates, etc.
  • Lock/unlock/protect cells/worksheets.
  • Group/Ungroup; Freeze Panes; Named Ranges; Data Validation (whole number, list, date, etc.)
  • Strong MS Excel proficiency with solid experience working with high volume data (100K+ rows) to create ad hoc reports and data manipulation.
  • Embed excel files/charts/tables into PowerPoint (PPT).
  • Multi-level sorting and filtering; conditional formatting; format painter; remove duplicates.
