Data Librarian

Highlights
Position Title: Data Librarian
Location: Dallas, TX, 75261
Duration: 10 months with the possibility of an extension
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday at 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

• Communicate with other departments or individuals about data management processes.
• Serve as a liaison between the business units and ITS, review use of data by company departments to ensure compliance with privacy laws and regulations
• Understand and document business processes, data requirements, and associated risks and controls
• Effective communication skills, including the ability to convey information clearly and concisely.
• Problem-solving skills are a must, this position will be responsible for ensuring that data is accurate rate and consistent, and if it's not, they will tasked with finding the source of the issue and resolving it.
• Works with data managers to ensure that data is secure and accessible to the right people.
• Coordinates efforts of meta-data analysts and daily work, and is a central point of contact for data catalouge resources.
• Communicate with data owners to explain data governance policies and procedures.
• Having strong critical thinking skills can help you make the best decisions for your organization
• Ability to make decisions about how to handle data, how to organize data and how to ensure data is secure.
• Monitor compliance with data governance policies and procedures and collaborate with business managers to ensure that data quality is maintained over time
