We're seeking a Membership Records Processor who will play a vital role in maintaining our worker membership database and running test reports to ensure the quality of our records. If you're a creative problem-solver who enjoys working in a fast-moving organization and is interested in learning more about non-profit and labor union financials, we'd love to have you join our team!
As a Membership Records Processor, you'll be responsible for reviewing backup and payment documentation from a variety of sources, posting dues and other payments, and preparing supporting documentation for processing. You'll report problems such as incorrect billed and deduction amounts and permit/membership issues, as well as process membership authorization cards. You'll identify and use documents from various sources to maintain and update membership, employment, and demographic information, keeping track of sources of information and how to access and/or contact those sources.
In addition, you'll prepare various membership reports such as suspension and per capita reports, compose emails summarizing record issues, and keep track of follow-ups on such issues. You'll also be responsible for preparing compliance reports and correcting issues identified by those reports, generating necessary membership reports required for billing, posting, and files, maintaining a workflow calendar, and completing multiple responsibilities on a daily basis. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
To be successful in this role, you should have a college degree or equivalent work experience, be proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and Outlook), have strong organizational skills, and be able to work independently. You should also be a problem-solver, able to prepare financial and other records in a systematic and logical manner, have good keyboarding skills, be meticulous in work habits, have good mathematical skills, and have good interpersonal and communication skills. UNITE HERE offers a comprehensive benefits package (valued at $46,400 for family coverage), and employees pay $0 in premium.
