Data Analyst - Remote | Wfh

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in supporting our data warehouse and reporting initiatives. Collaborating closely with our Business Analyst, you will understand the information needed by our business workflows and provide actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making. You will also work alongside our IT resources to ensure data governance and maintain data quality programs.
Here's What You'll Be Doing
Independently managing multiple, variable tasks and data review processes to fulfill business requests for data from the data warehouse.
Analyzing workflow issues and data integrity problems, offering recommendations for resolution and advising management accordingly.
Contributing to the data dictionary and business glossary by adding agreed-upon terms, metadata, definitions, descriptions, and related values.
Developing reference materials such as application data relationships and BI data models for training other technical staff.
Taking ownership of assigned projects, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
Assisting Business Analysts in the development of training programs and materials for end-users, while mentoring and developing team members.
Serving as both a professional and technical mentor to other Data Engineers.
Proactively identifying areas of improvement, both in processes and technical aspects, and developing plans for implementing necessary changes.
Collaborating with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams on multi-faceted projects involving data intelligence.
What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, health care systems, or equivalent work experience.
Experience: A minimum of six years' experience working with enterprise data sources and BI tools in a financial or healthcare environment. Experience with dimensional databases, cubes, and columnar data structures is preferred.
Certifications: A minimum of two of the following certifications are required: Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Data Governance and Stewardship Professional (DGSP), PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), HIMSS - Certified Associate (CAHIMS), HIMSS - Certified Professional (CPHIMS).
Other Qualifications: Strong organizational and analytical skills, attention to detail, excellent interpersonal skills, and proficiency in written and oral English. A thorough understanding of the 7-layer OSI model is necessary. Experience in data profiling and data quality analysis is preferred. Ability to translate business needs into data architecture specifications and support application users. Familiarity with tools such as Business Objects, Oracle, Cognos, IBM InfoSphere, and IBM data models is a plus. Exceptional problem-solving skills and a customer service-oriented mindset are essential.
