Data Analyst Overview

Stay Alfred is searching for a Data Analyst to join our growing Technology team. This position will focus on data consolidation, data analysis and management reporting. The Data Analyst will utilize software to generate metrics and develop actionable recommendations, as well as provide support to management and business stakeholders by collecting and analyzing data, creating reports and sharing results.

Primary Duties And Responsibilities

• Work within multidisciplinary, cross-department teams.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Prepare KPI reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
• Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues.
• Interpret data, analyze results using calculations, complex logic, statistical analysis and other quantities techniques.
• Acquire data from multiple data sources and maintain data for use in future analysis
• Work independently on complex data analysis, business analytics, and data mining tasks on large data sources.
• Use data to create models that depict trends in the data.
• Create informative, actionable, and repeatable reporting that outlines KPI’s, trends, and opportunities for improvement. Understand and communicate recommended changes and the operational impact of any recommended changes to the Leadership Team.
• Identify data anomalies and determine the most appropriate resolution
• Assist management in identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree: Business Administration, Information Technology, or Related Field
• Able to track down reporting issues
• Able to evaluate data to make business recommendations based on analysis of the data
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
• Project Management skills
• Experience with EDI/ETL frameworks
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• SQL scripting abilities
• Business Intelligence platform experience. Tableau experience with writing scripts, queries and reports is a plus
• Ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders
• Ability to perform advanced Excel techniques
• Organization, data quality assessment and data profiling

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Data Warehousing and Mining
• Experience managing complex operations and processes
• Advanced Project Management skills
• Predictive Analytics experience (R/Python).
• Advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills
• Ability to program in a relational database or other programming experience/aptitude
• Ability to write advanced SQL queries
