It owns and operates a portfolio of news and entertainment television networks, a motion picture company, television production operations, a television stations group, theme parks, and a suite of Internet-based businesses.
Position: Data Analyst - Intermediate

Qualifications

• Experience in data visualization platforms (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.)
• Proficient tools such as SQL, Splunk, Python, and/or PowerShell
• 3-5 years experience in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Web Analytics
• Equally capable working as part of a team or independently
• Familiar with Agile team methodologie
• Advanced skill level using Excel
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Passion for media and/or news
• Familiarity with data governance concepts
• Proven ability to create and maintain dashboards and metrics.

Responsibilities

• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities.
• Develops an overall data architecture that supports the information needs of the business in a flexible but secure environment.
• Blend data from multiple systems to prepare reports.
• Identify data gaps that may present organizational barriers and find ways to close them
• Collaborates with reporting teams and business owners to turn data into actionable business insights using self-service analytics and reporting tools
• Create data model flows and diagrams.Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Acquire data from various data sources and maintain databases/data systems.
• Demonstrate critical thinking for potential roadblocks; comprehends bigger picture of the business and effectively communicates these issues to greater news digital organization
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement solutions and generate reporting to meet business goals
• Perform statistical analysis and reconciliation to ensure data quality
• Gathers, analyzes, and normalizes relevant information related to, and from business processes, functions, and operations to evaluate data credibility and determine relevance and meaning.
• Comfortable working within a culture of accountability and experimentation
