Principal Duties

(Hybrid work schedule, will work 2 days remote and 3 days onsite)

• Interpret quality data for evaluation of programmatic results and write descriptions of data measurement and uses of the data
• Analyzes data and transforms it into meaningful and useful information
• Under limited supervision works collaboratively with UM Rehab & Ortho leaders to acquire, manage, manipulate and analyze data and report results on outcomes, compliance and standards of care in a manner suitable for a non-technical audience.
• Develops and implements data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
• Produces dashboards and reports to support facility process improvement efforts
• Performs basic statistical analysis for projects and reports
• Responsible for understanding key business concepts in the development of reports, dashboards, analytics, data mining and other functions in order to provide historical, current and predictive views of the business.
• Ensures data integrity and security.
• Acquires and abstracts primary or secondary data from existing internal or external data sources (internal or national databases).

Qualifications

Education Requirement:

• Masters in a related field with experience in data analysis as described above is preferred.
• Two years of experience managing financial and clinical databases including case mix files, cost accounting files and severity indexed files required.
• Five years of experience in data analysis required
• Bachelors in Information Management, Healthcare Information, Computing, Mathematics, Statistics or related equivalent field.
