About the Role
The Data Analyst & Visualization Specialist develops, designs, and completes analytical studies of highly complex, data from public health systems; develop effective data visualizations and other tools to communicate key data related to specific healthcare quality issues and select public health priorities; creates custom data reports for a variety of users; provides data and interpretation for planning needs and reports; reviews and annually updates data informatics and evaluation protocols and procedures.

About the Role
The Data Analyst & Visualization Specialist develops, designs, and completes analytical studies of highly complex, data from public health systems; develop effective data visualizations and other tools to communicate key data related to specific healthcare quality issues and select public health priorities; creates custom data reports for a variety of users; provides data and interpretation for planning needs and reports; reviews and annually updates data informatics and evaluation protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Provides data and interpretation for planning needs and reports; assists in tabulating and analyzing performance measure data and sets performance targets for monitoring and evaluation.
- Develops, designs, and conducts technical analytical studies of highly complex data, cleans, merges, organizes, and manages data from multiple sources, create dashboards to visually present the data; performs data validation and complex data analysis; identifies areas of improvement in internal/external programmatic activities; provides staff with areas of program improvement and quality control of reporting through data, reports, and recommendations.
- Analyze dashboards for key insights related to the CT program, Analyze Tableau reporting dashboards for key insights related to the program, and deliver ad hoc reports at the request of leadership. Experience creating and presenting data-driven insights (or working closely with the Product Owner to do so).
- Maintain and build existing and new data integration flows. Monitor data integration processes and daily refreshers. Foundational experience in data model architecture. Experience creating and presenting data-driven insights (or working closely with the Product Owner to do so)
- Other duties as assigned.
- Creates custom data reports for a variety of users; executes recommendations for data aggregation, analysis, and reporting; provides technical assistance to staff on data visualization tools and methods; assists with data analysis and reporting projects as requested and assigned.
- Participate in various team meetings, and help with data and reporting questions.
- Develops effective data visualizations and other tools to communicate key data related to specific healthcare quality issues and select public health priorities; creates interactive Salesforce dashboards, Tableau data dashboards, and ArcGIS visualizations and maps; researches and applies data presentation best practices and guidelines to ensure, clear, concise communication of the data; incorporates feedback from internal and external users regarding data dashboards and visualizations and applies these in an iterative process to refine and improve data dissemination tools.
- Reviews and annually updates data informatics and evaluation protocols and procedures; provides technical consultative support to local and state agencies and programs.
- Prefers research experience, and experience with statistical modeling of longitudinal data; prefers excellent data analysis skills and proficiency in SAS or STATA statistical package; prefers excellent knowledge of MSSQL or T/SQL query, procedures, and views; prefers experience using data visualization software including Tableau and ArcGIS; prefers experience with Python data manipulation; prefers excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively in teams and with multiple stakeholders.
- Requires Salesforce and Tableau reporting experience or other comparable reporting development. Proficient in working in T/SQL: Advanced querying, view maintenance, and creation.
- Must be willing to travel if needed.
- Requires Microsoft SQL Server (T/SQL), Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services, Experience with a Scripting Programming Language such as Python or C#, Azure Dev Ops and code branching, and experience with GIT and visual studio.
