Large Esports gaming company is looking to hire aInsights Data Analystfor their HQ in West Los Angeles.



This will be a 6 month contract and can be 100% remote


Must Have


  • SQL
  • Online Games experience/familiarity
  • Data Analysis
  • Tableau
  • Bachelors Degree in Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Microsoft Excel

As a Data Analyst, you’ll join the Insights discipline – the group of researchers, analysts, data scientists, and strategists responsible for solving problems and executing analyses that enable the company to make difficult decisions with confidence. You’ll be part of an interdisciplinary team and work closely with the company from other disciplines (designers, artists, producers, etc.) to conduct studies and analyses that’ll inform the features, systems, and experiences of our products. Your background in data analysis and strategic decision making will ensure that you’re an effective advocate for players and can provide strategic guidance about their wants, needs, and behaviors.


Responsibilities:


  • Report total business performance and trends back to central teams and leaderships on a regular basis
  • Administrate Tableau ecosystem for reports, helping bridge stakeholders with the data needed to resolve business problems
  • Maintain and iterate on data visualizations for the player experience
  • Perform ad-hoc analytics and build new visualizations for unsolved product challenges


Required Qualifications:


  • BA in Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Management Information Systems, Statistics or a related discipline
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Tableau (or equivalent)
  • 2+ years work experience analyzing large data sets and visualizing information
  • Familiarity and experience with online games


Desired Qualifications:


  • Advanced in Spark and Python
  • Familiarity and experience with MOBA Games
  • 3+ years experience in data analytics, strategy, management consulting, or related fields
  • Previous analyst experience in games
