As a Cybersecurity Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain insight into Cybersecurity capabilities, risk, compliance, threat intelligence, and awareness. Cybersecurity interns will partner with experienced engineers to plan, coordinate, and implement security technology to regulate access to computer and network resources, and to prevent the unauthorized modification, destruction, and disclosure of information assets. You could learn what behaviors contribute to security and how to drive measurable changes to targeted behaviors.


Intern project may include:


  • Contribute to the rebranding and refresh of Cybersecurity Awareness digital presence and assets.
  • Align with other IT engineering and administration disciplines to ensure security best practices are incorporated into design, implementation, and sustainment of systems and services within the enterprise, including the Application Security Development Lifecycle.
  • Perform risk assessments, threat modeling, and penetration-testing on proposed technology solutions; create risk statements, summaries, and presentations for management for risk escalation and/or mitigation at the proper level.
  • Work with planning team to define and develop project plan for Cybersecurity Awareness Month activities and events.
  • Evaluate proposed technology solutions for adherence to documented company standards, policies, and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Support of enterprise security technologies such as application and network firewalls, proxy, host and network-based intrusion detection/prevention, anti-malware, hardware, and physical security.

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field, with a graduation date no sooner than December 2023. (Required)
  • Experience with Azure, PowerShell, Ansible, and Linux OS a plus.
  • Curiosity when it comes to understanding complex situations, problem solving, and solutioning.

The pay for this role will vary based on a range of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s geographic location, market conditions, and specific skills and experience.


National Salary Range:


National Plus Salary Range:


$38,900.00 - $70,000.00


  • National Plus salary range is used in higher cost of labor markets including Western Washington and Alaska.
