Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Junior Cyber Security Systems Engineer/Analyst to join our European team! Are you ready to be part of a cutting-edge cybersecurity project that will make a huge impact on the security of DOD/U.S. Army throughout Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands? What You'll Be Doing:

• Gather information system security requirements, design system architecture, develop and implement security designs, and assess the effectiveness of security solutions against present and projected threats.
• Analyze, interpret, and evaluate design documentation and produce formal and informal reports that clearly articulate the results of a customer's solution specification or solution implementation review.
• Responsible for the cybersecurity maintenance and sustainment (CSMS) tasks - scanning, patching, updating, and the application of Security Technical Implementation Guides in support of four U.S. Army Garrisons in Europe.
• Knowledge of system vulnerabilities (full stack – from network to platform), potential mitigation protocols or processes, "best case scenario" solutions.
• System engineering with networking and/or cybersecurity focus
• Develop functional, operational, or user requirements and reference architectures and technical patterns of solution designs.
• Apply the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and U.S. Army policy requirements to maintain Authority to Operate (ATO)

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience with RMF (NIST 800-53/37) and prioritizing risks/vulnerabilities to DoD Systems
• Experience with full system engineering lifecycle, breakdown systems into components, and assessing vulnerabilities. Experience gathering and communication requirements needed with external customers.
• 1-3 Years of Cyber Systems Engineering
• Engineering analysis and reporting experience in/with the DoD / IC
• Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II with the corresponding Cybersecurity certification (current Comp-TIA Network+, current Security Plus)

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Experience in reducing risk to DoD systems, fixing systems of the highest importance, hardening systems in development, and crypto resiliency.
• Experience in computer network defense, software, and standards used across DoD would be beneficial.
• Additional Cybersecurity certification (CCNA, CISSP, Net + etc)
• Cybersecurity-relevant analysis experience (basic host and/or network analysis experience)
• Windows domain admin experience and a general understanding of IT.
• Experience with Cybersecurity Assessment a plus.
