Cyber Security Analyst Jobs

Our client is a leading global partner to the Iron and Steel industry.

They are in the process of expanding their Cyber Security team in Charlotte NC, and looking to hire a Cyber Security Analyst.

You will assist in improving the IT security while supporting the growing workforce of 300 employees across 7 locations and 3 continents.

Responsibilities:

• Automate security notifications and create reports for the IT Department and executive team.
• Collaborate with the Senior Security Administrator (SSA) to implement and manage core security components.
• Keep software up-to-date with the latest security patches.
• Plan and execute monthly security training and phishing campaigns.
• Embody the organization's values of service and compassion.
• Work well with all departments and employees to find solutions that benefit everyone.
• Analyze and address security audit logs and vulnerability scans.
• Stay informed about cybersecurity and IT advancements.
• Assist in maintaining and monitoring the SIEM platform.
• Report to the Manager of IT Operations.
• Provide technical advice and recommend best security practices.
• Workload distribution:
  • 75%: Security projects, administration, and implementation.
  • 25%: Tier 2-3 service desk support for security-related tickets.
• Participate in periodic on-call duties.
• Develop and manage cybersecurity awareness campaigns.
• 75%: Security projects, administration, and implementation.
• Complete special projects and assigned responsibilities.
• Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Proactively enhance security by implementing additional layers for endpoints and servers.
• Keep the Senior Security Administrator and Manager of IT Operations updated.
• Stay current with IT security systems, hardware, and software.
• Investigate network traffic for suspicious behavior.
• 25%: Tier 2-3 service desk support for security-related tickets.
• Assist in maintaining backup and replication systems for disaster recovery.
• Install, administer, and troubleshoot network security solutions.

Required Skills:

Preferred Technical Skills:

• Microsoft Security Suite (Entra, Priva, Purview, Sentinel).
• TCP/IP and associated networking protocols.
• Switch, firewall, and wireless management (Cisco/Meraki).
• CCIE SecurityNIST security standards.
• Cisco Umbrella, SSL certificate management, and DMARC, DKIM, SPF best practices.
• PowerShell and troubleshooting skills.
• Rubrik, Microsoft Intune, and SCCM.
• Active Directory and Azure Active Directory.

Education & Experience:

• A+ and/or Security+ certifications.
• 3 - 5 years of experience in a fast-paced cybersecurity support role.
• Bachelor's degree in Technology or related field or equivalent experience.

The Offer:

• Four and a half day working week - 9 hours Monday-Thursday, with half day Friday.
• Hybrid Working - 3 days per week in their Charlotte NC Head Office

• Base Salary - $80,000 - $90,000
