The Cyber Security Analyst II plays a vital role within Masonite's Information Security Program. The ideal candidate should possess a comprehensive understanding of Information Security Concepts. They will serve as a valued technical resource working to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our critical infrastructure. They will identify and report all security issues, prioritize threats, monitor Threat Intelligence Feeds, and validate threat mitigation in accordance with company standards. They will be expected to collaborate across business units to understand the architecture of our enterprise and assist with recommending appropriate solutions to complex issues.

• Understanding of NIST CSF
• Provide advanced research and forensics to protect Masonite information systems
• Assist with responding to and tuning data loss preventions alerts and systems
• Investigation and remediation of alerts triggered by Security Information and Event Monitoring System (SIEM)
• Serve as an escalation point for SOC analysts
• Ensure that all systems are protected per the policies and guidelines set by the Information Security Manager and Chief Information Security Officer
• Provide tuning recommendations for detection, prevention, and monitoring systems to reduce false positives
• Serve as a mentor to junior analysts
• Take on additional projects and duties as assigned my management
• Respond to reported Phish Alerts
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds to identify threats, IOC's and ATP's
• Maintain current knowledge of MITRE ATT&CK Framework (TTPs) tactics, techniques, and procedures
• Stay current on evolving threat landscape
• Participate Incident Response
• Assist in developing Metrics and Reports
• Ensure anti-virus and advanced malware solutions are maintained, tuned, and current.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience directly related to incident response, malware analysis, threat hunting, or threat intelligence
• 3-5 years of Information Systems experience
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• CySA+, CASP+, GIAC (GCDA, GCIA, GCIH, GCED, GDAT) certification highly desired
• BA/BS degree in computer related field desired.
• Coding/Programming scripting (JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, C++)

Essential Physical Requirements

• Position requires employee to be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform professional office duties, such as prolonged use of a personal computer, periodic phone usage throughout the day, and the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
